Hi, I’m Shannon!

I work as a Registered Psychologist and the founder of Sow & Grow Psychology. Based in regional Victoria, I understand the unique strengths, pressures, and context of rural living. I currently offer psychological support via Telehealth, providing accessible, flexible, and confidential care for individuals and families across Victoria and beyond.

I aim to create a warm and encouraging therapeutic environment that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative — a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as we work towards meaningful change.

Why I Do This Work

My interest in psychology stems from both professional training and personal lived experience. I completed my Master of Professional Psychology in 2023 and have been working as a psychologist since then. Before moving into private practice, I spent over 10 years in management, academic and community roles, supporting people through real-life challenges — experience that continues to shape the way I support clients today. Having navigated my own mental health journey, I also recognise the courage it takes to seek support and the value of having someone walk alongside you. I believe that growth occurs through connection, insight, and small, consistent steps — and that every person deserves the opportunity to experience this.

Who I Support

I work with clients of all ages and life stages (10-65+ years), providing therapeutic support across a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns. This includes individuals who are seeking assistance with:

  • Anxiety, stress, burnout and depression

  • Self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and identity development

  • Emotional regulation

  • Life transitions, relationship difficulties and personal growth

  • Trauma/PTSD

  • Neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism.

  • NDIS support for participants aged 7+, with a focus on building confidence, emotional wellbeing, and practical skills for everyday life.

  • Parenting support and family-focused care

I also welcome clients who wish to integrate their Christian faith into sessions. Faith-integrated therapy is available for those who request it, and is offered with professionalism and sensitivity.

How I Work

My approach to therapy is evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to the needs of each client. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Strengths-based and relational approaches
